Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Create tool prints for production based on customer requirements and geometry.
  • Design for production following Fullerton's manufacturing/tolerance standards (print, router, tolerance standards).
  • Provide details needed on prints & routers to ensure it is clear what is required at each production step.
  • Create wire frame prints to assist in the quoting phase.
  • Create router packets for production to ensure the customer receives the correct and quality tooling.
  • Provide accurate routing setup and run times to aid in production scheduling.
  • Provide technical support to external and internal customers.
  • Multi-task when working on various projects at the same time.
  • (Engineering GUI, Customer prints, Quoting prints)
  • Attend FAST academy once every 2 years (minimum).

Supporting Quality Assurance

  • Travel to Customer sites as needed.
  • Maintain 5S and a neat and clean work area.

Qualifications/Education/Skills

  • Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in Product Development/Applications.
  • Knowledge of machining techniques and cutting tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Problem solving, time management, professionalism.
  • Cutting Tool knowledge.
  • Mechanical blueprint reading experience.
  • CAD experience. AutoCAD 2D along with Fusion 360 or equivalent experience developing models and drawings.
  • GD&T Ability to learn new software as required.
  • Exhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive, and energy.

Equipment Used

  • Computer, CAD, MS Office.

Working Conditions

  • Professional office environment (50% of the time).
  • Required to interact with personnel on manufacturing floor (40%).
  • This position operates within a manufacturing environment and has occasional exposure to loud noise, grinding oil/coolant, grinding dust, fumes and moving mechanical parts.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift to 30 lbs.
