The Product Director will own the product vision, roadmap, investment decisions, and launches for Cash Management and Payment Hub, reporting to the Global Head of Product, Corporate Solutions. You will lead a team of three direct reports and collaborate across Engineering, UX, Sales, and Marketing to deliver market-leading capabilities.

Responsibilities

    • Own and articulate the product vision and strategy for Cash Management and Payment Hub, grounded in market analysis, competitive intelligence, and customer insights.
    • Lead the prioritization framework and investment plan, balancing strategic goals, customer demands, and commercial rigor.
    • Define and communicate the short-, medium-, and long-term roadmap to senior stakeholders, customers, and internal teams.
    • Act as the decision-maker on roadmap sequencing, defending priorities to the Executive team, Engineering, Sales, and customers.
    • Own the annual planning process, outlining new capabilities, platform enhancements, and agentic AI investments.
  • Product Business Case Development and ROI:
    • Build robust business cases for new product investments, articulating revenue impact, customer acquisition/retention, development cost, and time to value.
    • Collaborate with Finance and senior leadership to manage the product investment budget and allocate resources to high-value opportunities.
    • Define and track ROI metrics for major initiatives, reporting progress to senior leadership.
    • Work with the Global Pricing team to ensure competitive pricing, margin retention, and clarity for Sales and customers.
  • Go-to-Market, Commercialization, and Market Engagement:
    • Engage directly with key customers and prospects to validate investment priorities and ensure the roadmap aligns with market demand.
    • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to define and execute go-to-market strategies for Cash Management, Payment Hub, and BEA.
    • Support Marketing campaigns, webinars, and presentations as a thought leader for Bottomline.
  • AI and Product Champion:
    • Champion and architect the adoption of agentic AI (BEA) within Cash Management and Payment Hub.
    • Drive the integration of BEA agents into core financial workflows, enabling autonomous, governed processes.
    • Shape how BEA delivers conversational and agentic AI to treasury and cash management workflows, improving KPIs for finance teams.
    • Ensure agentic AI investments are sequenced on the roadmap with clear business cases and measurable outcomes.
  • Product Delivery and Management:
    • Lead end-to-end product releases and launches, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and alignment with customer outcomes.
    • Collaborate with Engineering, UX, and Data teams to define, build, and launch market-leading capabilities.
    • Shape and enforce Bottomline’s Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) alongside the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
    • Manage delivery milestones and escalate risks to scope, timeline, or budget.
    • Oversee existing products, improving key commercial, compliance, and cost KPIs across the portfolio.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three direct reports across strategic direction, product delivery, and product management.
    • Foster a high-performance, customer-obsessed, and AI-first product culture.
    • Champion AI literacy as a competitive advantage and ensure the team has the tools and frameworks to manage roadmaps and priorities effectively.
