About the role
R/GA is a 40-year-old agency that has evolved from a film studio to an interactive advertising agency and now a product and marketing agency with diverse practices. We specialize in creating meaningful and memorable experiences across digital platforms and often blend the digital and real worlds.
Responsibilities
- Run the productization process across R/GA's portfolio, collaborating with the Tech Director and AI Engineers on product bets.
- Join AI Products (AIP), a small, tech-led team focusing on shifting R/GA's business from labor-based to software-based services.
- Own product strategy, scoping, validation, and the discipline of shipping reusable assets across clients.
- Ensure every product bet is shippable with a clear thesis, identified buyer, sales-ready demo, and a plan to ship, sell, or sunset.
- Define product strategy theses, target buyers, IP wedges, and ship-or-sunset criteria.
- Synthesize the narrative and lead the creation of product marketing assets, such as video content and PR materials.
- Conduct customer discovery with R/GA Client Leads, prospects, and pitch teams to validate assumptions and kill ineffective bets.
- Prototype, validate, and iterate using AI agents to build working artifacts independently.
- Partner with brand, marketing, PR, new business, and regional studios via short, scoped consulting moments.
- Build marketing decks, demo scripts, and pitch artifacts to enable Client Leads to sell products without hand-holding.
- Define and report on success metrics, building dashboards for tracking key performance indicators.
- Maintain a pipeline of productization candidates to manage the backlog.
Requirements
- A high-agency operator with the ability to fill in gaps without formal processes and maintain rigor without bureaucracy.
- A technically minded, T-shaped individual with a proven track record of building long-term AI products that have shipped, sold, and lasted.
- Strong technical fluency, including the ability to read code, push back on architecture, and write a credible PRD for an AI system.
- Fluency in agent-driven workflows and the ability to direct AI agents to build prototypes and working artifacts independently.
- Demonstrated zero-to-one experience, preferably within an agency, studio, consultancy, or startup.
- Excellent written communication skills across various formats, including PRDs, decks, sales artifacts, and executive updates.
- The comfort and confidence to present to senior clients and internal stakeholders, including the C-suite.
Bonus points
- Prior product work on generative interfaces, agent platforms, brand systems, or AI tooling.
- Experience packaging consulting or services work into repeatable products.
- A background working alongside designers and creative teams in agency environments.
- Published thinking on AI product management, evaluation, or productization.

- 7+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years focused on AI-powered or technically complex products.
- Location: Based in NYC, candidates must be located in the tri-state area (NY, NJ, or CT) or willing to relocate.
- Work Model: Hybrid work model with regular in-person collaboration and team/client workshops.
