About the role
We're looking for a Product Development Manager, Accessories & Lifestyle to help us dream up and develop new products for Blunt Blunt Cases. This role involves translating fashion and cultural trends into original product opportunities, developing detailed product briefs, and overseeing the entire product development process from concept to final approval.
Responsibilities
- Develop new concepts across Blunt products, accessories, merch, gifting, and packaging.
- Translate fashion, cultural, and consumer trends into original product opportunities for the brand.
- Create detailed creative product briefs including visual references, materials, finishes, colors, hardware, dimensions, construction, and packaging direction.
- Work closely with suppliers, sourcing partners, and designers to bring concepts into development.
- Review CADs, prototypes, packaging builds, and physical samples.
- Give clear and highly specific feedback through multiple rounds of sampling.
- Own creative sample approval and ensure the final product delivers on the original vision.
- Explore materials, textures, finishes, silhouettes, hardware, and manufacturing techniques that can make our products feel distinctive.
- Think about the entire product experience, including how something is packaged, presented, gifted, and ultimately experienced by the customer.
- Maintain an organized development pipeline across concepts, sampling rounds, revisions, approvals, and production handoff.
- Continuously bring new product ideas and opportunities to the team rather than waiting for a brief.
Requirements
- 4–7+ years of product development experience, ideally within fashion accessories, handbags, jewelry, beauty accessories, lifestyle, gifting, or another design-led consumer category.
- Comfortable starting with a Pinterest reference, sketch, trend, or half-formed idea and figuring out what the actual product should become.
- Organized enough to keep multiple developments moving at once, but never let process replace creativity.
- Comfortable working directly with suppliers, reviewing samples, making decisions, and pushing for another round when something isn’t there yet.
Qualifications
- Natural talent for sending people products with enthusiasm.
- Attention to detail, especially in hardware, proportions, texture, packaging construction, and finish.
- Regularly thinking about how to improve existing products.
- Liking to discover new materials, manufacturing techniques, and unexpected product ideas.
- Wanting to see products you helped create worn and used by thousands of people.
- Willingness to take significant creative ownership over new products.
Skills
- Strong product development skills.
- Ability to translate fashion and cultural trends into product opportunities.
- Experience working with suppliers and designers.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to give clear and specific feedback through multiple rounds of sampling.
Benefits
- Hybrid work environment based in Miami, with flexibility and autonomy.
- Health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance.
- Paid time off.
- Opportunity to grow into a senior product and creative leadership role as Blunt scales.
- A creative-first environment where your ideas actually make it into market.
- Significant ownership over new products, categories, merch, and packaging.
- The chance to help shape one of the fastest-growing Gen Z women’s accessories brands.
Pay
$85,000–$105,000 base salary.
Schedule
