Product Development Internship Program - Summer 2027

About the role

This is a full-time paid internship program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2027. Participation in the internship requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location, in accordance with Capital One’s hybrid working model, for the duration of the program. Interns will be evaluated for a full-time position within our rotational programs, with start dates approximately one year following the completion of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience leveraging new technology while building product management skills
• Develop leadership skills in the professional setting through meaningful interaction with product leaders
• Leverage data and customer insights to understand customer and business problems, make strategic business decisions, and partner with high functioning tech teams to implement solutions
• Cultivate relationships with fellow interns and associates through extensive networking activities

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher with an expectation that you will complete your most recent full-time degree program by August 2028 or earlier (for example: If you are graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in May 2027 and are also currently enrolled in a full-time Master’s degree program with an expected graduation date of May 2028, then your most recent full-time degree program is your Master’s degree)

Must be continuing in the same course of study of your most recent full-time degree program following completion of the internship

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest and experience in product management, software delivery, data science, software engineering, or leveraging software to solve customer and business problems
• Preferred majors include Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other related majors

Pay

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

• McLean, VA: $109,000 - $109,000 for Intern, Product Management
• Plano, TX: $99,000 - $99,000 for Intern, Product Management

Schedule

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
