Product Development Engineering Technician - Urgent Need (Onsite)

Job Summary

Medical Devices Company is seeking a Product Development Engineering Technician for an urgent need in Franklin Lakes, NJ. The position is a 12-month contract on W2, requiring US Citizenship, GC Holders, GC EAD, OPT, EAD, or CPT.

Requirements

- Some form of technical training, such as a college degree in a science or engineering field, tech school, or experience in a lab environment. - Experience using small hand tools. - BS degree in engineering is desirable (Mechanical Engineering preferred). - 0-2 years of engineering or technical experience, preferably in medical devices. - Working knowledge of the operation of mechanical measurement equipment (e.g., Instron) is desirable. - Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Demonstrated ability to utilize statistical tools and computer analysis.

Responsibilities

- Perform technical tasks related to product functional assessment, including concept feasibility, design verification, sustaining engineering, and new product development of medical devices. - Execute test protocols using a variety of mechanical laboratory equipment and manual manipulation. - Assist in planning, executing, and analyzing experimental data. - Report results to project leadership and prepare technical reports, if necessary. - Provide technical support on general laboratory instrumentation and equipment. - Participate in investigations related to equipment, test methods, or quality issues. - Support continuous improvement of lab processes. Assist in on-boarding and training of other associates. - Maintain good laboratory and documentation practices. Ensure compliance to applicable client policies and procedures, as well as applicable standards and regulations.
