Product Development Design Engineer - Slurry Pumps

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop pump components, assemblies, and related equipment using CATIA
  • Review and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, and product documentation
  • Support new product development projects from concept through production release
  • Create design solutions that improve performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost competitiveness
  • Perform engineering calculations, design analyses, and tolerance evaluations to support product development
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations for product improvements
  • Support engineering change management activities, including revisions, deviations, and obsolescence management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline with 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • OR Mechanical Design degree, Mechanical Engineering Technology degree, or related design discipline with 7+ years of relevant product design experience
  • Experience designing industrial equipment, preferably centrifugal pumps or related rotating equipment
  • Proficiency with CATIA for 3D modeling, assembly design, and engineering drawing development
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerancing practices
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials
  • Experience performing engineering calculations and technical evaluations supporting product development
  • Experience providing engineering support to internal stakeholders
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required
