Pump Maintenance Engineer
About the role
Role Overview: As a Pump Maintenance Engineer at USP Group, you will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of pumping systems across various sites within your local region. This role requires a hands-on, proactive engineer who can work independently while maintaining close communication with the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on pump systems.
- Diagnosing faults and completing corrective works efficiently.
- Installing, testing, and commissioning pumping equipment where required.
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with health and safety regulations.
- Providing clear reports on completed works, defects, and recommendations.
- Liaising with clients and internal teams to ensure high service standards.
- Using Verisae software on a daily basis.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pump Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of various pump systems (e.g. booster sets, sewage, drainage).
- Relevant technical qualifications or industry certifications preferred.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently within your local region.
- Full UK driving licence.

USP Group is seeking experienced subcontractors to support minor works across our social housing contracts. We are looking for reliable, skilled trades to assist with ongoing works as part of our growing delivery programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out minor works in line with Schedule of Rates (SOR).
- Day-to-day responsive repairs.
- Disrepair works.
- Occasional void property projects.

- Proven experience working on social housing contracts.
- Ability to work to SOR.
- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Good time management and reliability.
