Product Designer (Contract Role)

This is a contract role based in Los Angeles with a hybrid work schedule of four days in-office per week.
About the role
Product Designers at Saatchi see no boundary between form and function. They are highly strategic, detail-oriented, and multi-skilled, bringing a deep understanding of user experience, user interface design, visual design, and branding. This role involves intense collaboration with internal teams and clients to define problems, develop solutions, and bring ideas to market. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Strategists, and Developers to create original digital products and services.
Responsibilities
- UX Responsibilities:
- Deliver creative solutions by working with stakeholders to determine requirements, articulate user needs, and translate them into elegant interface designs.
- Think strategically to develop solutions connecting business goals and user needs.
- Collaborate with teams, including Platform Creatives and external partners, to deliver meaningful experiences.
- Analyze the competitive landscape to understand patterns and trends.
- Execute flawlessly by producing wireframes, sitemaps, user flows, prototypes, decks, use cases, customer journeys, and personas (low and high fidelity).
- Maintain consistency by contributing to the UX pattern library and understanding component design best practices.
- Visual Design (VD) Responsibilities:
- Deliver creative solutions by shaping requirements and translating user needs into concepts and interface designs.
- Think strategically with UX designers to provide insights connecting business goals and user needs.
- Develop innovative experiences by combining strategic thinking with pixel-perfect execution.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and new design technologies.
- Execute flawlessly by maintaining the quality of the visual design system in dev-ready files, prototypes, and presentations.
- Maintain consistency by contributing to the visual design pattern library and understanding component design best practices.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cumulative experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to execute projects within a large organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking to deliver best-in-class solutions.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to build narratives across formats.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in an agile or highly iterative, collaborative environment.
- Strong understanding of industry trends and proficiency with tools like Figma, Sketch, Principle, Photoshop, and After Effects.

- Smooth handoff of wireframes, annotations, landscape analyses, test plans, and other creative deliverables adhering to component standards.
- Effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Problem-solving by balancing user needs with business priorities.
- Process engagement, including breaking solutions into epics/user stories and managing sprints.
- Support the design system by building reusable components.
- Visual Design Deliverables:
- Development of dev-ready files, prototypes, and presentations adhering to style guide standards.
- Effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Problem-solving by balancing user needs with business priorities.
- Process engagement, including breaking solutions into epics/user stories and managing sprints.
- Support the design system by building reusable components.

Pay
Compensation range: USD $73,150.00 - USD $107,744.00 annually. Compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
