What you'll do

• Own the design process for specific product features from initial discovery and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and developer handoff
• Conduct tactical user research, including usability testing and interviews, to validate concepts and translate findings into design improvements
• Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to define requirements and ensure technical feasibility
• Contribute to and maintain our design system, ensuring a cohesive visual language and high bar for craft across all platforms
• Proactively use product analytics and customer feedback to identify friction points and iterate on existing features

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience in UX/UI or Product Design
• Demonstrated experience shipping functional, beautiful products
• Demonstrated experience designing seamless end-to-end journeys that bridge digital interfaces with physical environments
• Ability to map and optimize touchpoints that occur beyond the screen, ensuring a fluid transition for users moving from a mobile app to a physical location
• Expert-level skills in Figma and prototyping tools
• Ability to clearly articulate your design decisions to stakeholders and take constructive feedback with a growth mindset
• Experience leveraging AI tools to transform static workflows into responsive, high-output processes

Pay

The anticipated base salary for this position is $165,000.00 USD to $175,000.00 USD annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis' total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans, and more.
