Product Designer
About the role

Responsibilities
- Design and iterate on onboarding and adoption experiences that help users quickly discover value in Asana (where design craft and clarity are especially critical), including AI-powered and personalized workflows.
- Rapidly prototype concepts, interactions, and product directions to explore ideas, communicate thinking, and accelerate learning across the team.
- Partner closely with product managers and engineers in a highly iterative product development process, building on ideas together through continuous experimentation and refinement.
- Stay current on emerging AI and LLM capabilities, translating new interaction patterns and technologies into thoughtful product experiences.
- Use qualitative insights, experimentation, and product data to inform design decisions, optimize user journeys, and uncover new opportunities for growth.
- Contribute to the evolution of our design system and interaction patterns, ensuring experiences remain cohesive, scalable, and high quality across surfaces.
Requirements
This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong thinking, craft, and iteration across onboarding, growth, or AI-powered product experiences.
- Deep curiosity about AI products and interaction patterns, with an active interest in the latest LLM capabilities, tools, and emerging user behaviors.
- Strong prototyping skills and a maker mindset. You use prototypes regularly to explore ideas, test concepts, and drive collaboration.
- Excited by highly collaborative product development and comfortable working closely with PMs and engineers throughout ideation and iteration.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, moving quickly, and balancing incremental optimization work with longer-term product exploration.
- Exceptional visual and interaction design craft, with the ability to create polished, intuitive, and high-quality product experiences across every stage of the user journey.

Pay
The estimated base salary range is between $182,000-$207,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
Schedule
