This is an in-office role; full-time employees are expected to work primarily from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. Flexibility is recognized, allowing occasional remote work or adjusted schedules for personal commitments.
About the role
We're looking for a Product Designer to blend tools and HMI design, shaping the software for fleet, mission control, and vehicle management systems. You will lead design across fleet management, mission control systems, OTA update flows, vehicle management software, and internal "workbench" vehicle OS tooling. The role involves moving fluidly between defense and commercial/trucking use cases, collaborating with product managers and engineers, and shipping features in fast release cycles. This position offers significant ownership and autonomy, designed as an accelerator for someone ready to lead.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in product, tools, or interaction design, spanning enterprise, commercial, or consumer-facing products.
- Strong visual and interaction design skills.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- An entrepreneurial mindset — comfort taking ownership of ambiguous problems with minimal oversight.
Nice to have
- Background in game design or interactive/real-time systems.
- Experience at defense, space, or robotics companies.
- Experience at AI/agentic companies.
- Experience building 0-to-1 tools or internal software platforms.

Pay
The base salary range for this full-time position is $170,000–$200,000. The actual base salary offered will be influenced by factors including experience, credentials, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and interview performance.
