Design Duties

• Designs industrial machinery and equipment, tools, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and machine attachments required for production or experimental use.
• Considers accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements in design decisions.

Technical Expertise

• Independent determination and development of approaches to solutions.
• Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
• Liaises between designers, manufacturing, engineers, tooling procurement regarding quality, cost, and schedule.
• Improves processes within the tool design and planning product flow.
• Uses 3DX/Catia for design and creates technical 2D drawings.

Experience

• Minimum 7 years' experience designing a variety of assembly tools for aerospace vehicles or similar.
• Minimum 1 year creating 2D technical design drawings.
• Secret security clearance required.
• Ability to obtain SAP within 6 weeks of submission.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
