Product Design Lead

Who We Are

We are Violet, dedicated to creating equitable health care. Our mission is to ensure that all patients receive care from clinicians who understand their diverse identities and needs. We have partnered with leading health care organizations such as Northwell, Brightline, Parsley, NOCD, and others to launch our platform. Our goal is to enable the health care industry to deliver more equitable care.

The founding team of Violet includes individuals with extensive experience in digital health companies like Oscar, Iora, and Tempest. We have developed v1 of our platform and are now onboarding strategic partners. Our current projects include building products for data collection, analysis, and storage, as well as developing the first-ever, design-centric upskilling platform to help care delivery professionals become more inclusive.

Who You Are

You are an experienced product designer eager to tackle the challenges of a fast-paced startup. You are comfortable learning new systems and technologies to meet various business needs. You are adept at defining user needs and creating effective user-centric designs and scalable design systems, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and operations teams.

You are passionate about user experience and building delightful, engaging experiences for users. While knowledge of the healthcare industry is preferred, it is not required as we aim to transform the system from within. Most importantly, you are committed to building health equity through technology.

Responsibilities

• Partner with members across the team to define the needs of our users, including care delivery organizations, care delivery professionals, and more.
• Build and champion best-in-class design practices focused on ease of use for our users, including excellent documentation and scalable systems to allow us to quickly implement and evolve our product design.
• Work closely with product, sales, and operations teams to understand user needs and company goals to efficiently reach success.
• Work closely with product and engineering to design, prototype, and scale new platform functionality.
• Our primary focus is to educate all care delivery professionals to be more inclusive, and we believe that design is a critical component to achieving this goal.

Skills And Experience

• Product designer with 3+ years of experience, preferably working with Figma and Storybook.
• Experience translating design principles into prototypes, starting with no-code tools like WebFlow.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eager to work with a cross-functional team to solve complex problems within health care.
• Experience working in small teams practicing agile development.
