About the role

We are seeking a senior design leader to join our mission-driven team. You will play a central role in defining and elevating the customer experience as we prepare for a major US launch. Your responsibilities span both product and brand, focusing on complex, regulation-heavy workflows and dense interfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Define and elevate the customer experience through design
  • Set the design direction for the company, raising the quality bar and shaping how design operates as we grow
  • Create systems, practices, and feedback loops that allow consistently excellent work to scale
  • Explore complex problems, build and test prototypes, speak directly with customers, and translate insights into polished, production-ready experiences
  • Turn complex, regulation-heavy workflows and dense interfaces into experiences that feel clear, intuitive, and inevitable
  • Lead discovery, including customer interviews, assumption validation, prototyping, usability testing, and iteration
  • Establish structured, repeatable customer-research and feedback practices

Requirements

  • User-centric: Advocate for the customer and care about how people experience the product
  • Craftsmanship: Highly developed eye for composition, hierarchy, interaction, and detail
  • Reasoned and curious: Challenge assumptions, ask sharp questions, and look for root causes
  • Decisive with strong judgment: Make thoughtful trade-offs, explore enough to make an informed decision, form a clear point of view, and move quickly
  • High agency: Identify what needs to happen, bring others with you, and take responsibility for moving the work forward
  • Systematic about discovery: Build repeatable ways of learning from customers, test assumptions early, and establish regular feedback loops
  • Clear and collaborative: Articulate your thinking simply, write clearly, provide engineers with the context and detail needed to build what was intended, debate constructively, respond well to feedback, and operate with conviction without ego
  • Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity: Create structure from incomplete information, navigate technical, regulatory, and operational constraints without losing momentum
  • Outcome-driven: Care about what happens after something ships, measure impact, and ensure your work genuinely improves the customer experience, business outcomes, or operational efficiency

Qualifications

  • In-house experience, owning complete customer journeys rather than isolated screens
  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual design, polished production-ready UI, and measurable business or customer impact
  • Strong information architecture, interaction design, and prototyping skills
  • The ability to produce high-quality work at pace, make confident visual decisions, and maintain a consistently high bar across the product
  • Systems thinking, experience designing complex, multi-party products, or working within regulated environments
  • Experience establishing structured, repeatable customer-research and feedback practices

Skills

  • User-centric design
  • Exceptional visual design
  • Information architecture and interaction design
  • Prototyping and usability testing
  • Customer research and feedback practices
  • Complex workflow design
  • Regulatory compliance

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and disability cover
  • Your own wellness, learning, and equipment budgets
  • Company card from day one
  • 33 days of flexible "All-in" PTO
  • Enhanced fully paid parental leave
  • Paid sick leave
  • Work from anywhere for up to 6 weeks each year

Pay

The salary band for this role is $155k–$200k + equity options

Schedule
