Product Definition Analyst
Responsibilities
- Interpret Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) from divisions and determine changes applicable to providing aftermarket part support for current and future production chassis.
- Research and create complete assembly breakdown information for dealers and other customers to view in the electronic catalog.
- Assign Vehicle Maintenance Repair Standards (VMRS) to meet internal and external customer requirements.
- Provide aftermarket support on new Kenworth and Peterbilt model launches.
- Collaborate with Pricing, Engineering, Purchasing, Marketing and Materials departments on stocking recommendations and availability of parts.
- Respond to Dealer NOF requests for Proprietary parts.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or a related field required.
- 2 Years of relevant work experience required.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Solid critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with basic mechanical engineering, able to read and review engineering drawings/blueprints.
- Experience with engineering processes and design elements.
- Proven quantitative, analytical, verbal, written and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions and meet deadlines on projects to achieve customer expectations.
- Experience in a commercial or technical role within truck/automotive field is a plus.
- Knowledge of the design and functionality of truck systems and components, engine products, and service and repair practices a plus.
- Familiarity with systems used in this role a plus: VOG, ECAT, RMI, TeamCenter, ASI, Windchill.
