About the role

Join a product control team that supports trading desks and financial controllers by ensuring profit and loss, balance sheet, and month-end close processes are executed accurately. You'll deliver timely reporting and insights, partner on controls, and help solve issues across front and back office stakeholders.

As a Product Control Associate on the Commercial & Investment Bank team, you will support daily profit and loss reporting and month-end close activities to ensure completeness and accuracy. You'll provide analysis and reporting to desk leadership and finance stakeholders, and partner with the business to strengthen controls and support new initiatives. You'll also help coordinate issue resolution across stakeholders to improve control and reporting outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily profit and loss reporting and month-end close processes
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to desk heads, business managers, and senior finance management
  • Partner with the business to implement robust controls and support new business initiatives
  • Coordinate across front and back office support functions to resolve control and reporting issues accurately and on time
  • Serve as an analytical and project support resource for product control priorities
  • Support a strong control environment by escalating issues and tracking them through resolution
  • Handle ad hoc requests as needed

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product control, financial control, accounting, or a related area
  • Experience performing daily profit and loss reporting and month-end close processes
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a strong control focus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with business and finance stakeholders
