Product Builder
About the role
Postman is the world’s leading API platform, used by more than 45 million+ developers and 500,000 organizations, including 98% of the Fortune 500. We are looking for a Product Builder to join our product team and help shape how developers experience Postman in an AI-first world.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the developer journey, focusing on how AI-native experiences.
- Build functional prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate ideas quickly and inform roadmap direction.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and design to imagine, prototype, and ship new experiences that make Postman indispensable for developers.
- Translate business and user goals into developer-friendly product experiences.
- Dive into the development workflows and pain points of developers.
- Maintain a deep understanding of developer workflows and pain points.
- Operate independently, identifying opportunities and driving them to completion.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in engineering or a hybrid PM/engineering role at a B2B SaaS or developer tools company.
- A strong technical background; you’ve built or contributed to real web apps, APIs, or systems.
- Experience building prototypes or proof-of-concepts (React, Node.js, or similar).
- A strong grasp of developer workflows and how tools fit into them.
- A bias toward action and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to move ideas forward.
- An interest in how AI is changing the way software is built.

Pay
The reasonably estimated base salary for this role ranges from $160,000 to $185,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
Schedule
In addition to Postman's pay-on-performance philosophy, and a flexible schedule working with a fun, collaborative team, Postman offers a comprehensive set of benefits, including full medical coverage, flexible PTO, wellness reimbursement, and a monthly lunch stipend. Employees currently work in the office three days a week and will transition to five days per week by the end of the year.
How You'll Succeed
Deeply engage in the building process and don't treat this like a traditional PM role. Drive impact and avoid getting stuck in the implementation details. Focus on major workflow improvements vs small optimizations. Don't lose touch with developer needs and solving for internal convenience. Don't wait for direction. Create clarity and momentum.
