About the role

The role involves supervising Residential Loan Originators in various locations like Carmel, Fort Wayne, Mishawaka, and Lafayette. The primary responsibilities include soliciting mortgage loans, interviewing applicants, submitting applications, and resolving discrepancies.

Responsibilities

  • Soliciting referral sources and making sales calls on realtors, builders, and other parties to solicit mortgage loans.
  • Interviewing mortgage loan applicants to gather income, debt, credit history, employment, and other relevant information.
  • Requesting and reviewing necessary documents for loan processing.
  • Determining if applicants meet loan eligibility criteria or identifying additional information needed.
  • Analyzing financial information and informing applicants of loan costs and fees.
  • Submitting completed loan applications and supporting documents to loan processing.
  • Contacting applicants to address any issues or discrepancies.
  • Informing applicants of loan approval or denial.
  • Participating in scheduled meetings and communicating effectively with all associates, including management and clients.
  • Maintaining a high level of client service by ensuring staff is courteous, professional, and client-oriented.
  • Handling client complaints promptly and efficiently.
  • Representing the bank in community activities and engaging in personal development activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
  • 3 years of commissioned lending experience.

Qualifications

  • Ability to analyze financial information and communicate clearly.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
