About the role
The Produce Sales Lead position at Labatt Food Service involves buying and selling fresh produce through the company's sales force. Key responsibilities include:
- Learning all aspects of the produce business, including technical product knowledge from growing regions worldwide
- Sourcing product from manufacturers and brokers
- Selling produce products through sales representatives to a large customer base of approximately 3500+
- Working directly with the Produce Manager to provide technical product expertise on all produce vendor lines
- Developing and executing sales and marketing plans to grow these lines
- Communicating effectively and confidently with food service directors, chefs, managers, and owners through one-on-one meetings, presentations, and correspondence
- Working well with people and managing time effectively
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- A college degree in RHIM, Marketing, or a business-related field
- Food service and/or produce experience preferred
- A bachelor’s degree
- Microsoft Office expertise
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, strongly preferred
Qualifications
Qualifications include:

- Ability to sell produce products through sales representatives to a large customer base
- Experience working directly with the Produce Manager to develop and execute sales and marketing plans
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence
