About the role
The Produce Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of all produce products at Performance Food Group. This includes conducting inspections, maintaining records, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and special inspections of produce products to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including documenting findings and corrective actions taken.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development activities related to quality control and food safety.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant food safety guidelines and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., food science, agriculture, or quality assurance).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality control or similar role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
