About the role
Oversee the daily operations of the produce department, ensuring quality, freshness, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations: Oversee produce department workflows; manage inventory, pricing, and product placement.
- Support & develop staff: Coordinate training, manage schedules, and provide leadership to team members.
- Ensure quality standards: Monitor product freshness, remove spoilage, and maintain cleanliness.
- Track performance: Review sales and labor metrics; implement strategies to meet department goals.
- Enhance merchandising: Create attractive produce displays and execute product placement strategies.
- Take initiative: Step into staff roles as needed, including opening, closing, and covering shifts.
Requirements
- Experience & Skills: Prior experience in retail produce and strong customer service techniques. Supervisory experience is a plus.
- Verbal proficiency in English.
- Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, squat, bend, and lift/carry boxes up to 70 pounds.
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including produce coolers and wet racks.

Pay
Hourly Pay: $24.00 hourly up to $75,000.00 annually
