About the role
The Plant Manager will provide hands-on leadership for all operational activities at the New Brunswick site, including EHS, Production, Quality, Maintenance, Material Requirements Planning, Product Development, Warehouse Operations, Continuous Improvement, Cost Management, and People Management. The role ensures compliance with Sun Chemical, Federal, State, and local policies and regulations, as well as Sun Chemical’s values for safety, quality, environmental, and financial stewardship. The New Brunswick operation produces high-performance solid pigment preparations for the plastics, coatings, and ink industries.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an Annual Operating Plan for the site to meet customer needs and corporate objectives.
- Coach team members to reach their fullest potential.
- Serve as a hands-on leader in all areas of Operations.
- Establish and support a strong safety culture.
- Communicate with sales & marketing, product development, product management, and customers to meet their needs.
- Serve as Process Technology owner, ensuring organizational capability for long-term market viability.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership/supervisory position in manufacturing.
- EHS leadership experience.
- 5 years of background in the chemical manufacturing industry.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in a science/technical field.
- Work experience with SAP.
- Working knowledge of Chemical Plant Process Safety and safe handling of chemicals.
- 5 years of background in the pigment industry.
Pay
Salary Range: $135,000 - $165,000 annually.
