PRODUCE INSIDE SALES ORDER TAKER

Responsibilities

• Processing customer orders for produce, deli and floral products.
• Accurately enter orders into system for timely delivery to clients.
• Take incoming calls from customers and accurately enter their orders into the system.
• Contact customers via phone to build and maintain good relationships in order to meet and exceed sales goals.
• Accurately enter customer orders into the system and have orders entered within set time frames according to delivery route schedules.
• Effective account management including: profitable sales; customer service; price and volume management.
• Manage quantities of product sold vs. warehouse supply.
• Operate in a team environment, working closely with sales team and other departments.
• Constant communication with warehouse and drivers.
• Know the product: seasonal and specials and market accordingly.
• Increase sales and order sizes by means of cross selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items.
• Light collections with customer base when applicable.
• Promote a positive company image and operate under the highest ethical standards.
• Maintain continual awareness of the competitive marketplace.
• Calmly and effectively resolve customer complaints.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience within the Produce business preferred: in depth knowledge of grow seasons, quality, pairings and marketing strategies is a plus
• Produce Experience Is Preferred
• 2 years Sales experience and customer service skills
• Maintain good judgement and decision making that could impact the Company
• Solid computer skills
• Flexibility with schedule: work rotating weekends, holidays when scheduled
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-starter and motivated
• Proven success with retaining, identifying, developing and growing accounts

Competitive compensation starting at $22.00+ hourly depending on experience.
