Produce Department Associate

About the role

As a Produce Department Associate at Miles Farmers Market, you'll play an essential role in preparing, stocking, and maintaining the freshest fruits and vegetables in the region. You’ll be working hands-on with beautiful produce—cleaning, weighing, packaging, and merchandising product for our customers to enjoy.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and trimming fresh produce
• Weighing, wrapping, and packaging fruits and vegetables
• Stocking and rotating product on shelves and displays
• Setting up and maintaining attractive merchandising
• Aiding customers with product questions and selections
• Keeping work areas clean and sanitized
• Following food safety and handling procedures

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
• Able to work on your feet and lift up to 40 lbs
• Dependable and self-motivated
• Experience in produce, grocery, or food service a plus—but we're happy to train!

• Full-time and part-time positions available
• Must be available on weekends and some holidays (We’re closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day & Easter; shortened hours on summer holidays)
