The Produce Clerk performs duties as directed by the Produce Manager and/or Assistant Produce Manager to ensure successful operation of the Produce Department, maintaining high standards of customer service, professional appearance, and compliance with safety policies. Responsibilities

• Prepare, wrap, and weigh all produce products
• Maintain a professional and organized display of products
• Restock counters on sales floor, pull any poor quality produce
• Responsible for proper rotating of product
• Assist in the receiving and unloading of product
• Responsible for ensuring that all products have their proper signs
• Responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary department environment
• Comply fully with all safety policies and procedures
• Adhere to Customer Service Pledge at all times
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance at all times while working and strictly adhere to the Dress Code policy
• Attendance at your job is essential to the overall function of your department

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language with sufficient proficiency
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and taste or smell
• Regularly required to stand, utilize full hand and digit functions, reach with hands and arms while manipulating objects
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distant vision, and color vision with ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, and percentages
• Must be able to lift, bend, and twist with up to 80 pounds
• Must be at least 18 years old
