Produce Associate

Position Summary

Our members choose to purchase fruits & vegetables at Sam’s Club because of the quality, freshness, and low cost. As a produce team member, you ensure availability, cleanliness, and freshness of produce, enhancing the shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members
• Provide exceptional customer service to members across the club
• Stock and organize merchandise in a timely manner
• Track goods and maintain in-stock levels to avoid out-of-stock and overstock products
• Use digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage associates
• Lead by example and guide peers to ensure quality and date control standards
• Eliminate waste and assist customers according to company policies
• Be a brand advocate, develop, influence, and inspire others, and assist in training
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
• Complete work assignments and priorities, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations
• Respect individuals by embracing differences, creating a culture of belonging, and supporting all associates
• Serve customers and members by delivering results, putting the customer first, making decisions based on reliable information, and striving for excellence

Qualifications

• Passion for and experience with produce
• Experience with quality assurance and safety standards
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable with change and adaptable to different work scenarios
• Out-of-the-box thinking and creativity
• Ability to communicate effectively and positively influence team members

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Additional certifications or experience in produce quality and safety
• Experience with digital tools and technology
• Leadership and mentoring experience
