About Fourier At Fourier, we are making hydrogen universally accessible. We are building modular, software-defined electrolyzer systems that dramatically reduce the cost and complexity of producing hydrogen where and when it is needed. Our mission requires solving hard engineering problems across hardware, manufacturing, deployment, and operations—and building the systems that allow breakthrough technology to scale into the real world. We are looking for a Procurement / Supply Chain Manager to build and scale the supply chain foundation that powers that mission. The Role As Procurement / Supply Chain Manager, you will own the strategy and execution behind how materials, components, equipment, and external manufacturing services move through Fourier. This is not a transactional purchasing role. You will operate at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, finance, and operations to ensure our teams have what they need—at the right quality, cost, and lead time—to accelerate development and commercialization. You will help establish sourcing strategy, supplier partnerships, procurement systems, inventory discipline, and supply resilience as we scale from development builds into production. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys moving between strategy and execution, and wants to help build the operating backbone of a category-defining climate hardware company. What You’ll Do Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Own end-to-end sourcing and procurement for direct materials, components, tooling, equipment, and contract manufacturing services for full and partial systemsBuild and execute category strategies across mechanical, electrical, fabricated, and long-lead componentsDevelop robust multi-sourcing frameworks for critical or high-risk parts, ensuring supply continuity through proactive risk mitigation and contingency planningLead RFQs/RFPs, supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting activitiesDevelop cost models and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supplier agreements Supplier Development & Supply Resilience Identify, qualify, onboard, and manage suppliers domestically and internationallyEstablish supplier scorecards across quality, delivery, responsiveness, and costDrive supplier performance improvements and corrective actions when necessaryProactively identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies including alternate sourcing and inventory planning Planning & Operations Collaborate with Engineering to drive DFM and DFSC initiatives, ensuring seamless transitions from early prototyping through pilot and full-scale manufacturingTranslate BOMs and build plans into purchasing and material readiness plansDrive long-lead procurement planning and inventory strategiesManage purchase orders, supplier schedules, delivery commitments, and escalationsDirect international freight and customs strategy, ensuring compliance across global logistics networks for cross-border electrolyzer hardware procurement Systems & Scale Build scalable procurement processes, controls, and reportingEstablish procurement KPIs and dashboards across spend, delivery, lead time, shortages, and supplier performancePartner with Finance to improve forecasting, budgeting, and operational planningHelp define the future supply chain organization as Fourier grows What We’re Looking For Required 6+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, manufacturing operations, or related functionsExperience supporting hardware, industrial, energy, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, robotics, climate tech, or other complex physical productsDemonstrated success sourcing technical components and managing supplier relationshipsExperience negotiating commercial agreements and managing suppliers through ambiguity and growthWorking knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and procurement workflowsStrong analytical skills with comfort working in spreadsheets and operational dataExcellent communication skills and ability to influence across technical and business teams Preferred Experience supporting NPI and scaling products into productionFamiliarity with electrolyzers, energy systems, industrial equipment, manufacturing systems, or capital equipmentAbility to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing requirementsExperience with should-cost analysis, make vs. buy decisions, and total cost of ownership frameworksExperience building supply chain processes from the ground up in an early-stage environment Who You Are You operate with agency and ownershipYou move with urgency and know when speed mattersYou can zoom from supplier negotiations into strategic planningYou build systems instead of creating dependencyYou enjoy solving messy operational problems and turning them into repeatable processesYou care deeply about execution and follow-through Why Fourier You’ll join a small, high-caliber team working on one of the most important infrastructure transitions of our generation. You’ll have the opportunity to build foundational supply chain capability, influence how we scale, and help bring distributed hydrogen production into reality. If building from zero to one excites you—we’d love to talk.
