About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-driven Procurement Specialist to support daily purchasing operations across fast-moving Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects in the Energy Sector. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on project procurement experience who enjoys working closely with vendors, engineering teams, project managers, and field/construction crews.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and process purchase orders for materials, subcontracts, and rental equipment.
  • Maintain accurate purchase order logs and project tracking spreadsheets.
  • Track, follow up, and expedite orders to ensure materials and equipment arrive on time.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve issues (missing materials, PODs, quotes, lead times).
  • Source materials and equipment, manage vendor relationships, and support procurement strategy.
  • Coordinate vendor drawings with engineering and manufacturing teams to meet project requirements.
  • Respond to daily inquiries via phone and email with clear, timely information.
  • Share procurement updates with internal departments to support project timelines.
  • Assist with additional procurement tasks and special projects as needed.
  • Support management with other duties that contribute to department success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • Must have Transmission & Distribution (T&D) experience in the Energy Sector; capacity building, adherence to project timelines, cost control, and grid reliability. You’ve secured supply, managed risk, and ensured T&D programs stayed on schedule.
  • Hands-on project procurement experience — not just PO processing or administrative support.
  • Experience sourcing materials/equipment, issuing POs, expediting orders, and managing lead times.
  • Comfort working directly with engineering, project management, and field/construction teams.
  • Electrical equipment/material purchasing experience is a strong plus.
  • Background working with buyers or procurement teams in T&D, electrical infrastructure, power delivery, utility construction, or EPC environments is highly desirable.
  • Field experience desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); Procore experience a plus.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent reading comprehension and documentation skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills.
  • Effective time management in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Benefits

  • Work directly with engineering, project management, and field teams on meaningful infrastructure projects.
  • Build real procurement expertise — vendor management, sourcing, expediting, and project coordination.
  • Join a supportive environment that values accuracy, communication, and initiative.
  • See the impact of your work across project timelines and operational success.
