Procurement Specialist
Position Overview
The Procurement Department at S:US is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join the Procurement & Fleet Team. The role is detailed-oriented, organized, and innovative, focusing on identifying and procuring quality goods and services at competitive rates. The position reports to the Procurement Manager and/or Procurement & Fleet Director.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Negotiate suppliers of goods and services, including negotiation of terms such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, and expectations.
- Aid in communication to businesses regarding new supplier agreements and follow up on submitted ideas for Procurement assistance.
- Liaise with suppliers and requisitioners to update and provide details of goods, and assist in coordinating and scheduling supplier meetings with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various functions to assist in the implementation of procurement standard operating procedures and procurement compliance.
- Analyze invoices for accuracy and identify potential errors related to the location and nature of the requested goods and services.
- Create purchase orders as part of the procurement process.

Qualifications
- Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain preferred, 3 years’ experience in relevant field or internship experience preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook, awareness of Procure to Pay systems and associated ERPs (Bellwether/EPMX), experience with food purchasing through a food distributor preferred.
