About the role

The Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient sourcing and managing of materials and services for Murphy Oil USA. This includes negotiating contracts, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards are met.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster ongoing collaboration and support.
  • Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback to improve service delivery.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems is a plus.
