What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
  • Request for Quotation (RFQ)
  • Support Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE)
  • Create Commercial Bid Evaluation (CBE) with detailed price analysis
  • Renew the contract if a Change Order occurs
  • Control shipping documents (BL / IV / PL) from partners and managing payment for partners
  • Sources quality suppliers and complete bidding process from a total cost of ownership perspective
  • Drive supplier capability enhancement through strategic support and development programs
  • Track supplier production schedule aligned with facility requirements. Realize and expedite supplier schedules as needed
  • Procure MRO material and maintain stock levels
  • Manage receipt, shipment, and settlement for MRO material
  • Report sourcing/procurement status to management groups and stakeholders

Negotiation Skills

  • Develop and negotiate vendor contracts to ensure favorable terms and pricing for the company
  • Resolve discrepancies and invoice problems
  • Requires persistent and continuous work to address supply chain challenges

Quality Focus

  • Research and identify prospective new equipment suppliers
  • Liaison with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations
  • Evaluate products and suppliers according to key business criteria
  • Ensure all contracts are based upon and meet standards
  • Manage huge data based upon consistency and integrity

Data Analysis

  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate inventory and procurement records
  • Maintain supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required
  • 3+ years of experience in Raw material procurement
  • Proficiency in international trade regulations and the handling of chemical substance imports and exports
  • 3+ years of experience leveraging strong negotiating and influencing skills with Raw / MRO material
  • Experience in Battery, Battery Materials or Chemical Industry is a plus
  • Working knowledge and understanding of an ERP system (SAP experience preferred)
