What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
- Request for Quotation (RFQ)
- Support Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE)
- Create Commercial Bid Evaluation (CBE) with detailed price analysis
- Renew the contract if a Change Order occurs
- Control shipping documents (BL / IV / PL) from partners and managing payment for partners
- Sources quality suppliers and complete bidding process from a total cost of ownership perspective
- Drive supplier capability enhancement through strategic support and development programs
- Track supplier production schedule aligned with facility requirements. Realize and expedite supplier schedules as needed
- Procure MRO material and maintain stock levels
- Manage receipt, shipment, and settlement for MRO material
- Report sourcing/procurement status to management groups and stakeholders
Negotiation Skills
- Develop and negotiate vendor contracts to ensure favorable terms and pricing for the company
- Resolve discrepancies and invoice problems
- Requires persistent and continuous work to address supply chain challenges
Quality Focus
- Research and identify prospective new equipment suppliers
- Liaison with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations
- Evaluate products and suppliers according to key business criteria
- Ensure all contracts are based upon and meet standards
- Manage huge data based upon consistency and integrity
Data Analysis
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate inventory and procurement records
- Maintain supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required
- 3+ years of experience in Raw material procurement
- Proficiency in international trade regulations and the handling of chemical substance imports and exports
- 3+ years of experience leveraging strong negotiating and influencing skills with Raw / MRO material
- Experience in Battery, Battery Materials or Chemical Industry is a plus
- Working knowledge and understanding of an ERP system (SAP experience preferred)
