Job Summary

As a Procurement Specialist at John W. Danforth Company, you will have a direct impact on operations by ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials required for both shop and field teams. You will serve as a key liaison between vendors, field personnel, and internal departments to maintain efficient procurement processes and strong supplier relationships.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Enhance supplier performance to secure optimal pricing and delivery schedules.
  • Streamline requisition processing and oversee workflow to ensure timely and accurate order administration.
  • Confirm compliance with internal requirements to facilitate prompt and precise delivery to shop and field operations.
  • Partner with internal teams to effectively forecast procurement needs and align supply with demand.
  • Aid warehouse operations with receiving, documenting, and fulfilling shop orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Address and resolve procurement issues, including urgent project-related material needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, field teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and procurement best practices.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on industry experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with Dynamics GP or Google tools preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with vendors.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Pay

Compensation Range: $62,500-$75,000
Other Compensation: Bonus eligible
