Procurement Specialist

About the Role

At GHD, we live and breathe the power of commitment every day. We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team and assist with the vendor lifecycle, including onboarding, contracting, performance monitoring, relationship building, and contract renewals. This position can be based in most US-based office locations and operates under a hybrid work model, requiring in-office presence three days a week.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the projects team to understand strategic procurement requirements, including sourcing and pre-qualification.
• Initiate and renew contracts, including framework and service line agreements, and negotiate pricing, terms, and provisions.
• Engage, educate, and influence vendors to align with GHD’s Environmental, Sustainable, and Governance (ESG) commitments.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners.
• Measure and monitor vendor performance and compliance, conduct quarterly and annual reviews, and provide feedback on gaps and opportunities.
• Build industry, vendor, category, and business unit-specific reports, analyze data, and report on gaps and opportunities.
• Assist in growing GHD’s supplier diversity program.
• Ensure all responsibilities are performed within GHD Procurement Guidelines and relevant processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, procurement, finance, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of strategic procurement experience, including data analysis, sourcing, vendor management, and contract management.
• High proficiency with data management and analysis tools such as SQL, Power BI, and Excel (intermediate to expert level).
• Previous experience with Salesforce is considered an asset.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Proactive attitude towards work, teamwork, and cooperation.
• Bilingual in English and French is considered an asset.

Pay

Salary Range: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience and location.
