Procurement Sourcing Senior Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Sr. Commodity Buyer responsible for managing complex auto parts, including pricing, investments, and cost reductions that impact financial performance. The role involves managing annual spend of $300M‑$500M across 8‑10 suppliers, driving annual cost savings of $7M‑$12M, and participating in supplier selection, technology direction, and continuous improvement initiatives. Additional aspects include occasional international travel, working in an open office environment with moderate activity, and having no direct or indirect reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies for 8‑10 suppliers with $300M‑$500M annual spend.
• Research industry trends and monitor market prices for supplier and model strategy development.
• Select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery, and maintain supplier relationships.
• Negotiate cost targets and manage projects to achieve annual cost savings of $7M‑$12M.
• Ensure accurate quotation processing and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor entry‑level associates and collaborate with design and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; 2+ years of experience in Purchasing or related areas.

Skills

• Ability to manage projects, analyze blueprints, and work collaboratively to build consensus.
