About the role
The Verint Global Procurement Team is looking to build upon the past few years of incredible growth and success by further developing our team. We provide excellent commercial support to underpin Verint’s strategic objectives. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you will have the flexibility and autonomy to drive strategies, deliver initiatives, and bring the role to life. We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage sourcing, negotiation, and contract management for SW, SAAS, Cloud, and Hosting IT sub-categories.
Responsibilities
- Lead contractual and commercial negotiations with new and existing SW, SaaS, Cloud, Hosting, and technology service provider vendors.
- Ensure appropriate procurement involvement in major vendor engagements, including renewals, new purchases, vendor rationalization, supplier selection, and strategic vendor management.
- Deliver savings and value through proactive negotiation of agreements, renewals, consolidations, and terminations, supported by benchmarking and analysis.
- Support the development and execution of category plans for software and SaaS spend, identifying opportunities, risks, and renewals.
- Review and negotiate software and SaaS commercial terms, including pricing, licensing, renewal rights, and service schedules.
- Establish global cooperation with IT, Finance, Legal, Security, Services, and Operations to ensure robust and practical procurement activities.
- Ensure compliance with Global Procurement policies and procedures.
- Support integration activities post-merger, assessing third-party spend, aligning suppliers, and ensuring continuity and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years focused on software, SaaS, cloud, or technology sourcing.
- Strong working knowledge of software licensing, SaaS models, and contract terms.
- Experience leading supplier negotiations, analyzing proposals, and securing commercial outcomes.
- Ability to review and interpret software and SaaS agreements in partnership with Legal and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple software and SaaS projects, including stakeholder engagement and compliance.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and flexibility to handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate sound judgment, and take ownership of deliverables.
- Strong collaborative skills in a cross-functional environment, engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Limited domestic travel required.
- Successful completion of background screening, including employment verifications, criminal search, and other applicable checks.
Qualifications
- Experience managing software development, enterprise software, SaaS, cloud, IaaS, hosting, and technology service providers.
- Experience with vendor consolidation, renewal planning, license optimization, and software asset management.
- Professional Procurement qualification is desirable.
- Prior experience with enterprise technology suppliers (e.g., Microsoft, Salesforce, AWS, Oracle).
- Familiarity with emerging technology, cloud services, and software asset management.
- Experience with a leading technology company is a plus.
