Procurement Solution Development Specialist

Tasks and Qualifications

• Support sourcing activities during the solution development and pre-sales phases
• Assist in developing cost estimates, pricing models, and budget assumptions for proposals
• Engage with suppliers to request quotes, lead times, and technical information
• Analyze supplier bids for cost, quality, and delivery considerations
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and project teams to align on solution requirements
• Identify cost risks and opportunities, and escalate as appropriate
• Maintain and update cost databases, supplier information, and benchmarking data for both Resale and Installation vendors
• Support preparation of proposal documentation and presentation materials
• Afford to evaluate alternative materials, components, or suppliers to optimize cost and performance
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency in meeting proposal timelines and responding to business needs
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in the sourcing and cost development process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within complex project environments
• Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver cost and schedule improvements
• Solid understanding of project planning and execution
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and highly organized
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and quickly adapt to change
