About the role

The IT Procurement & Mobility Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day lifecycle of IT hardware, software requests, and peripheral purchasing, with a specialized focus on managing our corporate wireless carrier ecosystem. This role also partners with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely purchasing, accurate recordkeeping, and effective support for IT assets, inventory, and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase, quote, and execute orders for IT hardware (laptops, desktops, monitors), peripherals, and standard software licenses based on company standards.
  • Track order activity and help resolve purchasing or delivery issues.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the corporate wireless carrier account.
  • Maintain accurate records for devices, services, inventory, and account changes.
  • Aid in asset tracking, inventory accuracy, and coordination of device assignment and recovery.
  • Update and maintain the IT Asset Management (ITAM) database in Service Desk Plus (SDP) to track hardware from receiving through deployment and final disposal.
  • Resolve escalated service desk tickets related to procurement delays, incorrect shipments.
  • Support process consistency, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in IT procurement, purchasing, or a corporate help desk/operations environment.
  • Strong familiarity with major wireless carrier portals (e.g., Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile) and corporate cellular fleet management.
  • Experience utilizing IT Service Management (ITSM) and asset management platforms.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail regarding serial numbers, shipping logistics, and order tracking.
  • No travel required.
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
