Procurement Administrator
Responsibilities
- Support the purchase of factory and office supplies, hardware items, and expensed materials while meeting quality and delivery requirements.
- Maintain purchase prices at the lowest possible cost without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
- Perform clerical and administrative duties such as keypunching, filing, and general administrative support.
- Enter and maintain accurate data in Excel and other systems as required.
- Investigate parts and support the procurement team by looking up and verifying part numbers.
- Maintain current quotes on all active purchased items and ensure records are up to date.
- Oversee and maintain storeroom supplies, including related documents and inventory records.
- Process customer returns and coordinate the disposal of parts as necessary in accordance with procedures.
- Provide support with inventory adjustments as needed, based on training and capability.
- Handle miscellaneous duties as assigned to support the procurement and supply chain functions.
Essential Skills
- Experience working with purchase orders, order entry, and administrative support in a procurement or logistics environment.
- Able to perform accurate data entry, including use of Excel for tracking and reporting.
- Familiarity with inventory processes and basic logistics concepts.
- Proficiency with Windows-based applications and general personal computer use.
- Able to comprehend and follow work instructions both verbally and in writing.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Able to use Outlook for email and scheduling.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining quotes, records, and documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a computerized requirements, planning, and purchasing environment is preferred.
- Experience with Oracle, SAP, or similar inventory control systems is a plus.
- Comfort working in a small, supportive organization where team members assist one another as needed.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as skills develop and business needs evolve.
About the Role
The role is offered as a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension or longer-term opportunities for the right person, depending on skills and fit, and potential future reorganization within the supply chain function. The position sits within a supportive, small department where team members help cover responsibilities when others are out. Work hours can follow one of two patterns: either Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or Monday through Friday working half days, preferably from morning to lunchtime. For individuals who pick up responsibilities quickly, there may be an opportunity to work additional hours and take on more tasks, particularly during busier periods such as August.
Work Environment
The facility operates within an ISO 1485 medical manufacturing certified environment, with processes and standards aligned to medical manufacturing requirements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
