About the role
CITGO Petroleum Corporation is a recognized leader in the refining industry and operates under the well-known CITGO brand. This role is responsible for the procurement of materials and services for the Terminals & Pipelines Business Unit, supporting terminal operations, pipeline operations, storage facilities, and other related logistic activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities supporting terminal operations, pipeline operations, storage facilities, and related logistics activities for the Business Unit to ensure the needs of internal customers are met.
- Develop or oversee the development of the most appropriate sourcing strategies for materials and services required to support terminal and pipeline operations, maintenance activities, inventory requirements, and related business needs.
- Supervise and develop personnel in the procurement and inventory management groups.
- Ensure compliance with CITGO policies and procedures and utilization of approved sourcing techniques and tools in support of strategic goals and objectives.
- Pursue innovations in procurement practices and department procedures that will improve effectiveness and produce cost savings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain or business-related degree or similar with 8 years of job-related experience or 12 years of job-related experience in lieu of degree.
- Computer skills including SAP, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience writing contracts for materials/services.
- Sourcing, procurement & inventory control techniques.
- Project management skills.
- Team building, delegating, goal development and performance monitoring.
Qualifications
- Preferred GEP SMART or similar e-Procurement solution experience and Power BI.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management.
- Capital projects procurement experience.
- Demonstrated procurement experience supporting terminal and pipeline operations, including materials, maintenance services, and operational requirements.
