Manager, Procurement
Job Duties & Essential Functions
- Lead and manage all aspects of purchasing operations across multiple office locations.
- Oversee the full contract lifecycle for pharmaceutical and medical supply purchases, including drafting, negotiating, and executing agreements.
- Manage the ordering and inventory process using Esker or a similar procurement platform.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Monitor purchasing budgets and implement strategies to drive cost savings while maintaining quality and compliance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline purchasing workflows and automate manual tasks.
- Build, maintain, and update vendor databases to ensure continuity of supply.
- Develop and track KPIs to evaluate purchasing performance, vendor efficiency, and cost control.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to forecast demand and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and industry standards.
- Train and support office staff both virtually and in person on procurement procedures and the use of the purchasing platform.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to align purchasing objectives, address operational needs, and foster strong working relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 7+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in a healthcare setting required; ophthalmology experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Esker or similar e-procurement/order automation systems.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, dashboards).
- Proven success in vendor negotiations and driving cost-saving initiatives.
- Experience managing purchasing budgets and financial forecasting.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process efficiencies and automation solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with multi-site medical practices.
- Familiarity with medical product categories, supply chain risk mitigation strategies, and GPO (Group Purchasing Organization) models.
- Understanding of healthcare compliance standards related to purchasing and vendor agreements.

Hybrid work environment
Period travel required to our offices in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Massachusetts
Salary Range
$100,000 – $115,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
