Procurement Manager Job
Primary location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Relocation offered: No. Full-time position with 11%-25% travel required.
About the role
As a Procurement Manager at Armstrong World Industries (AWI), you will develop and execute procurement strategies for assigned categories. This role offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with business leaders, key suppliers, and internal customers to maximize value for AWI. You will directly influence the company’s financial performance and optimize our supply chain as part of a close-knit, dynamic team.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commodity strategies to minimize risk and drive supplier performance.
- Identify and prioritize procurement initiatives; allocate appropriate time and resources to ensure timely completion.
- Provide procurement leadership by assisting with market assessment, risk management, strategy development, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Actively contribute to the development of market-leading, innovative new products.
- Provide forecasts and analysis for financial, capital, strategic planning, and budgeting; educate leadership on market dynamics and metrics.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience (preferred but not required with suitable business or manufacturing leadership experience).
- 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Finance, or equivalent experience in manufacturing leadership.
- Financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting experience.
- Knowledge of purchasing principles, sourcing, and commodity pricing methods.
- Contract negotiation skills.
