Procurement Manager

About the role

ZB Designs is the creative studio behind Wigglitz, the wiggly, fidgety collectible that won 2026 Collectable Toy of the Year and now ships into national retail and DTC. Our procurement needs grow every quarter. We're hiring a Procurement Manager to own the vendor base and purchasing for labels, paper goods, corrugated displays, master cartons, tubes, pouches, headers, and packaging materials across a wide range of unique products and brands, plus all supplies for fulfillment, design, and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the vendor base across printing, packaging, corrugated, retail displays, and fulfillment supplies. Know who manufactures in-house versus who brokers work out, and price accordingly.
• Competitive quoting on active items and establish second sources for every single-sourced category.
• Negotiate pricing, MOQs, and terms, pushing for better as our volume grows.
• Manage every purchase order from issuance through delivery, including tracking expected versus actual arrival dates.
• Set reorder triggers and days-of-cover on every item, plus early flags on long-lead goods, seasonal spikes, and retail launches.
• Fast-turn buying for new products or retail programs—quotes back and POs placed in days, not weeks.
• Coordinate artwork, specs, and proofs with packaging engineering partners and print vendors before production.
• Track and drive down landed costs without sacrificing quality.
• As the role matures, assist in defining and executing machinery and raw material purchasing.

Requirements

• 4+ years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, ideally in consumer products, packaging, or print.
• Hands-on buying experience with printed and packaged goods: labels, folding cartons, corrugated, retail displays, CDUs, master cartons.
• Proven negotiation results—you’ve improved pricing or terms, not just collected quotes.
• Urgency under pressure—able to source and buy packaging quickly for launches or retail programs without compromising cost or quality.
• Strong spreadsheet skills for reorder planning, burn rates, and cost modeling.
• Exceptional organizational skills, ability to multitask, and motivate others to meet goals.
• Follow-through to ensure quotes, POs, specs, and delivery dates never fall through the cracks.
• Ability to hold vendors accountable while maintaining strong relationships.

Nice to Have

• International sourcing experience, including Alibaba suppliers, DDP terms, tariffs, and freight.
• Retail-ready packaging and display programs for national accounts.
• Machinery or raw material purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
• 3PL or pick-and-pack experience.
