Procurement Manager
About the role
This is a new position to add to a growing team. The Procurement Manager will lead and facilitate procurement activities for a given set of goods to support INX and its affiliates. This individual will own the day-to-day management of a group of vendors and act as the point of contact between the vendors and INX across multiple manufacturing sites and technical labs.
Starting salary range: $85,000 to $100,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic considerations.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Director of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement to develop, implement, and execute procurement strategies across the INX supplier base, including sourcing and qualification of alternative suppliers.
- Stay current on global market trends of categorical commodities/materials; effectively translate trends into proactive risk, supply, and cost controls.
- Collaborate directly with Operational branches, Corporate Supply Chain, Technical, and Commercial teams to support strategic initiatives and fiscal health.
- Conduct periodic supplier evaluations to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators to optimize procurement processes and supplier performance.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and scorecards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast production needs and plan for future demand.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with outside vendors with a focus on delivering internal favorability.
- Support all INX facilities by maintaining steady communication with key positions to best coordinate flow and use of materials between departments and manufacturing sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent on-the-job training (OJT) working experience.
- 5+ years of procurement experience in a production environment.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve problems.
- Successful track record of utilizing problem-solving methods to continuously improve quality, delivery, and cost performance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Robust organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred qualifications:
- SAP or S4Hana experience.
- Relevant certification in APICS, ISM, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the ink industry or chemical industry.
