About the role
This role sits within the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction organization and supports the strategic sourcing of key services and capital equipment across a large portfolio of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects. The position plays a unique role in bridging project execution and long-term asset management, focusing on lifecycle performance, operational reliability, warranties, service agreements, and long-term value creation across renewable energy assets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with equipment suppliers, service providers, OEMs, and O&M partners across utility-scale renewable energy projects
- Negotiate and manage supply agreements, service agreements, long-term service agreements (LTSAs), warranties, and performance guarantees
- Support procurement decisions with a focus on lifecycle performance, availability, maintainability, operability, and total cost of ownership
- Conduct market research and supplier analysis to assess pricing, technology trends, supply chain risks, regulatory developments, and operational considerations
- Support risk mitigation efforts related to supply chain, equipment performance, operational reliability, and long-term asset management strategies
- Partner closely with executive leadership, legal, development, finance, construction, operations, engineering, and asset management teams to align procurement decisions with long-term project objectives
- Support the development and standardization of procurement strategies, commercial terms, and scopes of work across the project portfolio
- Assist with procurement activities that facilitate the transition from construction into long-term operations and asset management
- Evaluate supplier proposals, commercial structures, service offerings, warranties, and performance guarantees to support sourcing recommendations
- Support portfolio-wide procurement initiatives that improve asset performance, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation
- Manage multiple procurement initiatives simultaneously while maintaining quality, accuracy, and timely execution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline preferred
- Minimum of 4+ years of relevant procurement, engineering, project management, EPC, renewable energy, asset management, or related experience
- Experience supporting utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, or renewable energy projects
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to execute against project deadlines
Skills
- Experience supporting O&M providers, asset management organizations, or long-term service strategies
- Familiarity with LTSAs, warranties, service agreements, and performance guarantees
- Understanding of lifecycle asset management, operational reliability, and performance optimization
- Experience evaluating supply chain, operational, and regulatory risks
- Background in finance, economics, project management, Lean Six Sigma, or PMP methodologies
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups
