Procurement Manager
About the role
We are seeking a Procurement Manager to lead our purchasing and supplier management functions. The role involves owning Procurement Planning & Execution, managing supplier relationships, and continuously improving procurement performance.
Responsibilities
Own Procurement Planning & Execution
Lead purchasing activities to ensure product availability across all customers
Balance supplier capacity, demand forecasts, and purchasing priorities to maintain optimal inventory levels
Manage purchase order execution from creation through supplier fulfillment
Partner closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to ensure purchasing decisions align with business needs
Build Strong Supplier Partnerships
Develop and maintain productive relationships with suppliers and manufacturers
Maintain supplier performance, including service levels, lead times, quality, and responsiveness
Own supplier escalations and work collaboratively to drive issues through to resolution
Hold suppliers accountable to agreed performance expectations while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
Improve Procurement Performance
Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes, systems, and workflows
Increase planning accuracy through better supplier collaboration and data analysis
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and strengthen procurement operations
Lead Team Performance
Lead, coach, and develop the Procurement team
Establish clear expectations, performance metrics, and accountability
Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Ensure the team consistently delivers accurate, timely, and efficient purchasing execution
Make Data-Driven Decisions
Analyze purchasing trends, supplier performance, inventory availability, and forecast accuracy
Deliver accurate and timely reporting that supports operational planning and executive decision-making
Requirements
Experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply planning in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of supplier management, purchasing operations, inventory planning, and demand forecasting
Proven ability to manage supplier relationships while balancing customer demand and business priorities
Experience leading teams and improving operational performance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions using data
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management
