Procurement Internship (Summer 2027)
The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, headquartered in Akron, Ohio, seeks talented leaders to join its global leadership team. The co-op/intern Program offers practical work experience across various departments.
Function Overview
The Global Procurement organization collaborates with Finance, Marketing, Manufacturing, Research and Development, and Retail to support Goodyear's operations. Key areas include Raw Material Sourcing and Supplier Qualification, Global Indirect Sourcing, Business Services, Logistics, and Capital Equipment.
Project Tasks/Responsibilities
- Review the market for potential suppliers
- Interact with end-user stakeholders on requirements
- Work with suppliers to acquire necessary materials
- Analyze data for negotiation preparation
- Update pricing and payment systems
- Collaborate with suppliers to achieve Goodyear's sustainability goals
Requirements
- Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration, or International Business majors preferred)
- Minimum 3.0 overall GPA preferred
- Expected graduation within 1-2 years of internship
- Prior intern/co-op experience in related field preferred
- Ability to self-manage
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excel in project work and enjoy achieving results
- Learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing technological environment
- Detail-oriented with superior analysis and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
