Procurement Intern
About the role
Covestro’s Procurement group is seeking a summer 2027 intern at our North American headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA, with travel to multiple plant sites throughout the region. As part of the Procurement team, you will support projects that plan, analyze, and procure strategic materials and services to maintain or improve efficient, low-cost operations across company facilities. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced Procurement professionals and may visit plants or warehouses to gain firsthand insight into daily operations. The internship runs approximately 12 weeks and offers opportunities to contribute to projects that improve quality of life by keeping products flowing through the marketplace.
Your Qualifications
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program with an emphasis in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Chemical or Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, or International Business.
- Completion of Freshman year.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of sophomore year preferred.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Prior internship or work experience preferred.
- Exposure to SAP through internship or coursework.
- Previous internship experience in Logistics, Procurement, or Information Technology.
Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrated PC skills and ability to work within Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills including an ability to interact and establish good working relationships with diverse individuals.
- Project coordination with the ability to be proactive and identify creative, effective technical solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
