Procurement Division Manager

About the role
As Procurement Division Manager, you will manage the procurement process for construction project sites, ensuring materials arrive on time to meet contract obligations while coordinating with project teams, suppliers, and manufacturers.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and delivery methods with suppliers and manufacturers
- Manage purchase orders while evaluating project schedule and availability of materials to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Evaluate and manage supplier performance to ensure contract and quality obligations are met; source and identify new suppliers if necessary
- Participate in supplier database development, including creating supplier work statements and proposals, setting negotiation parameters, and establishing supplier strategy
- Resolve escalated payment and/or material discrepancies
- Oversee and review technical documentation, specifications, bid preparation, quote solicitation, submittals, and requests for quote (RFQ) packages
- Collaborate with project team, logistics, and procurement team members to review and identify areas for improvement
- Foster positive relationships with both internal and external parties
- Lead, develop, and mentor team members
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in a procurement function in a construction-related industry
- Lean principles experience is a plus
- Industry-related degree is required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Technology
