Procurement Analyst I

About the role

We are a small group of engineers, engineering technologists, technicians, and additional support staff dedicated to delivering power solutions projects for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to requests for purchasing materials, including writing, submitting, tracking, monitoring, and controlling purchase requests and collating all associated documentation to support the purchasing process.
• Act as primary liaison for tracking all ongoing materials requests for the program, including providing status updates and proper documentation as needed.
• Develop a strong understanding of the purchasing process, including coordinating with corporate buyer personnel to adequately plan for upcoming purchase requests.
• Maintain high-quality documentation throughout the entire procurement process.
• Establish reliable vendor relationships to ensure quality deliverables and expedite the purchasing process.
• Identify and analyze trends in material use and needs, providing recommendations for material purchases, particularly for electrochemical cells/batteries.
• Monitor and control internal/external calibration services for all test equipment (e.g., environmental chambers, test equipment), including maintaining accurate calibration records, scheduling routine system maintenance, and escorting calibration technicians while on-site as needed.
• Perform excellent communication with coworkers and management; ensure consistent, timely performance for all deliverable activities assigned.
• Adhere to safe warehouse and laboratory practices as directed.
• Maintain a strong teamwork mentality with the ability to adapt to a rapid work environment with multiple ongoing projects.
• Respond to all other duties assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and 4 years of work experience or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BAE Systems business applications (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Concur) for generating purchase orders.
• Knowledge of company processes and procedures for purchasing materials, services, and equipment.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $56,401 – $95,881. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors, including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
